Package Overview
Specialist Gastroenterology Check-Up
A comprehensive upper and lower GI screening package at our JCI-accredited partner hospital in Guangzhou. This package includes painless (sedated) gastroscopy and colonoscopy, C13 urea breath test for H. pylori, gastric function tests (pepsinogen I & II, gastrin-17), stool routine with occult blood and transferrin, GI-specific tumour markers, and a complete blood count with CRP.
Ideal for patients with digestive symptoms, a family history of colorectal or gastric cancer, known H. pylori risk, or those over 40 seeking comprehensive GI cancer screening.
Note: Because bowel preparation is required, this check-up starts slightly earlier in the day. Detailed prep instructions will be sent 3–4 days before your appointment.

Patient Preparation Instructions
Please follow these preparation protocols to ensure the accuracy of your results.
Failure to follow preparation steps might require postponing your appointment.
- Bowel Preparation (Colonoscopy): You will receive a detailed dietary preparation guide 3–4 days before your appointment. This involves a low-fibre/clear liquid diet the day before, and a bowel cleansing solution taken the evening before and morning of the procedure.
- Fasting: Nothing to eat or drink (including water) for at least 6 hours before the gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Adhere strictly to fasting — inadequate preparation may require rescheduling.
- Medications: Blood thinners (aspirin, warfarin, clopidogrel) should be discussed with your care manager before the procedure. Diabetes medications should be taken as advised.
- Transport: Due to sedation, you must arrange for someone to accompany you home — you must not drive after sedation. Our team can arrange transport if required.
- H. Pylori Breath Test: Avoid antibiotics, proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole etc.), and bismuth compounds for at least 2 weeks before the test.
